Details for Runners-2008

SHIRTS:  The shirt for the 2008 marathon and half marathon will be a tech short-sleeved shirt. There will different shirts for the marathon and the half marathon, using the same small one logo printing as in 2007. The shirts do not shrink! Please order your shirt on the entry form accordingly.  Your shirt can only be exchanged if additional shirts are available that have not been assigned.  Shirts are guaranteed at the times of packet pickup if you register prior to August 1, 2008. The shirt for the 5K will be a specially designed short-sleeved shirt.  The shirt sizes are based upon men's sizes.  Women entrants should consider ordering one size smaller than their regular size.

SHIRT PICKUP:  Additional shirts will be available based on estimates of the number of entrants. Most entrants will receive a shirt prior to the events.  Out-of-town runners are strongly encouraged to register early! The cost of mailing a shirt is costs $4-5.

PACKET PICKUP:  Packets will not be mailed. Runners are strongly encouraged to pick up race packets at the Colorado Running Company, 833 N. Tejon St., Colorado Springs, CO on Friday, 8/29, 1-6 p.m.; Saturday, 8/30, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; and Sunday, 8/31, 12 noon-4:00 p.m. Remaining packets will also be available on the morning of the race at America the Beautiful Park. However, if you are running the marathon and you were not able to pick up your packet in advance, you should claim your bib number only at the start line area at Palmer Lake prior to the marathon on Sep. 1, Labor Day.  You should take a 5 a.m. bus to the start line so that you have time to claim your bib. You will be able to claim the rest of your packet after the race at the the America the Beautiful Park pavilion.  Marathon runners will also be able to check sweats at the start line at Palmer Lake and reclaim them in America the Beautiful Park after the race.
